With a shared treatment room featuring twin massage beds, it’s ideal for friends, partners, or anyone seeking side-by-side indulgence.
Begin with a 45-minute soak in one of our classic cedar-lined hot pools, perched high above the Shotover River. Filled with pure mountain water and gently heated to approx 38.3°C, each pool offers uninterrupted alpine views and a retractable roof that shifts from cosy to open-air at the push of a button.
Once relaxed and rebalanced, continue into our tranquil day spa for your choice of a personalised face or body treatment – available with 1 hour, 1.5 hour or 2 hour treatments.
After your treatment, relax in our lounge to enjoy post-treatment refreshments.
Please note: This experience does not include a massage room with a Shotover River view, however, your treatment will still take place in a tranquil space, designed to soothe and rejuvenate. Booking includes changing time. Separate changing facilities are available should you need additional time to get ready post-treatment.
A thoughtful step toward sustainability: To help minimise waste and protect the environment that surrounds us, we kindly encourage guests to bring their own slippers or alternative footwear for use between the pool and treatment rooms. While single-use slippers are still available on request we appreciate your support in helping us tread more lightly on the planet.

Health Advisory
We advise anyone with an underlying medical or health condition to consult their doctor should they have any queries regarding the use of the hot pools and/or treatment.
As a guideline, we do not recommend bathing during pregnancy due to the temperature of the pools. That said, we do still have women that are pregnant that still choose to bathe. If you have any concerns about having a Hot Pool during your pregnancy, please consult your GP or obstetrician.
Due to associated health risks, we do not offer massage for women in their first trimester. A facial will be offered instead.
Please advise us prior to your booking if you have any severe allergies.
Child Policy
Original Onsen + Treatment is restricted to guests 16 years old and above.
No children under the age of 16 are allowed in the treatment rooms, we ask that children are accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.
