T.S.S. Earnslaw and Walter Peak High Country Farm. Relive the elegance of turn-of-the-century travel with a cruise aboard the vintage steamship TSS Earnslaw, the only coal fired passenger carrying vessel still operating in the southern hemisphere. Affectionately known as the “Lady of the Lake”, the TSS Earnslaw has a special place in the hearts of Queenstown people. She has been transporting goods to remote settlements and conveying passengers on beautiful Lake Wakatipu since 1912.


Lakes District Museum A unique variety of exhibits present an authentic picture of early Maori in the southern lakes district, of the harsh pioneering days of the European settlers, and the exciting gold rush era of the mid to late 1800s. The Lakes District Museum has beginnings which are set in the town\'s gold mining past, and over the years has developed into a visitor experience with something for everyone. Today the museum welcomes around 50,000 visitors each year who enjoy the hands-on exhibits, special exhibitions, research facilities, education programme, and local information.


Strike Bowl The bowling alley includes a bar and cafe area, including bar stools alongside the lanes to enable you to watch the children play, while enjoying a New Zealand wine or two! As long as the kids are able to lift our lightest ball (6lbs) they can have a go! (we have had 2 year olds play with parent assistance!) We have special child friendly equipment, that the smaller ones can lift the ball on and it does the rolling for them. Under 5’s are FREE
